Fumerole Crater, Namaskard, Iceland - Iceland is an incredible place with some beautiful light. When we arrived at this spot, we were in sunlight, but the distant hills had very dark, ominous clouds. Ideal for a more dramatic picture.
Hot Spring Crater, Iceland
Fumeroles at Namaskard, Iceland - The whole area had a strong smell of sulpher. A smell I could not get rid of for the rest of the day. The light was super where I was but the skies were very black in the distance.
Steam of Fumerole - another fumerole shot from Namaskard, Iceland.
Mudpool Crater, Namaskard, Iceland - had to be careful where you walked, If you stood on the wrong coloured ground, your foot would fall through into boiling hot water.
Storm Clouds - last day in Icelands and the skies became very scarey. It look like the end of the world. Eventually, they just faded away, such is Iceland.
Steam Power - near Rekjavik in Iceland, Here they were harness the natural volcanic heat to warm the capital. The waters around had special mineral properties, which were good for problems such as arthritus. People often went swimming in them.

Reykjavik Harbour at midnight
Lanmanalauger - this was opposite our first camp site. It was very windy so the tents were held down with big boulders. It was also very, very cold. I had thermal underwear, two shirts, two jumpers, an anorak. woolly gloves and hat and was still cold in my sleeping bag. We were camp by a hot spring and I wandered over to it, only to be met by two stark naked German girls coming out of the spring. Then there was a scream and another naked girl, being chased be an equally naked man came running and jumping into the hot spring, and I was fully dressed and freezing. Another night, I had a soak in the hot spring and it was the only night I felt warm for the whole night. Smelt somewhat of sulpher but I was warm and didn't care.
